Troika offloads Kamaz stake for $428m

Russian investment bank Troika Dialog has offloaded a 17.1 stake in truck maker KamAZ for $428m.

Troika received about $428 million from Russian Technologies, a state holding company, from Daimler AG and from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, according to a report today by Vedomosti.

Bosses at Troika had been looking to rid themselves of their stake for some time. Its stake has been reduced from 44.4 percent to 27.3 percent following the deal

Russian Technologies acquired12.1%, upping its stake to 49.9 percent, Daimler bought 1 percent, increasing its stake to 11 percent and the EBRD took 4 percent.

The deal valued KamAZ at about $2.5bn according to the report.
