Russian investment bank VTB Capital has boosted its equity operations with two hires for research and sales roles.
The bank hired Justin Landau last month for an equity research sales role. Landau was previously an associate director at UBS in Moscow for almost four years.
Also joining him at VTB as an equity capital markets analyst is Vitali Popovich who worked at Beta Capital Management as a private equity analyst.
VTB Capital is boosting its personnel by 40 percent to 1,000 as it seeks to consolidate its growing market share in new areas. The bank is also hiring bankers for new derivative products and is opening new distribution centres in Asia and New York.
