EXCLUSIVE: Sunshine tipped for Metropol asset management role

June 1, 2010

By Ivan Anderzhanov

Hawk Sunshine, the head of investment banking at Metropol, is believed to be moving to a senior fund management role within the financial services group.

The switch has been triggered by the arrival of Dan Rapoport, a former banker at CenterInvext, according to a source close to Metropol. It is believed Sunshine is working with Rapoport before moving to the buyside.

Sunshine and Metropol have previously declined to comment on the management changes.

Metropol Asset Management was established in December 2002 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Metropol Investment Financial Company. It claims on its website to “hold a stable position among the 20 biggest Russian asset management companies.”
