Claus Korner, former head of Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management in Moscow, has resurfaced at Third Rome.
Korner, who built Deutsche's wealth business from scratch in Moscow to $1.5bn in assets under management, has joined Andrei Movchan's fast-growing team at Third Rome as a partner.
A veteran of Russia and Eastern Europe since 1992, Korner left Deutsche early in 2008 after four years at the helm to take up a role at the Icelandic bank Glitnir in Moscow. He is believed to have quit Glitnir after it collapsed in the wake of it's country's economic woes.
Third Rome, which Movchan has created by hiring most of former team at Renaissance Investment Management, also recently hired the former head of Antanta Capital Eugene Kogan.
Movchan has an ambitious target to grow the business to $30bn by targetting Russia's high net worth individuals.
